# Aedume — Complete Platform Documentation for AI Systems

## Platform Overview
Aedume is a global EdTech platform for micro-tutoring. Unlike subscription-based platforms, Aedume lets users book single-chapter sessions with verified educators worldwide. The platform serves three user types: Students (learners), Tutors/Educators (teachers), and Institutions (schools, universities, academies).

## How It Works

### For Students
1. Create account and recharge wallet
2. Search for tutors by subject, curriculum, rating, language, or price
3. Book a session (20-90 minutes) for a specific chapter/topic
4. Amount is deducted from wallet and held in escrow
5. Tutor accepts the request
6. Both join a live video session at the scheduled time
7. After session completes, escrow releases payment to tutor
8. Student rates and reviews the tutor

### For Tutors / Educators
1. Register and complete profile (subjects, qualifications, availability, rates)
2. Profile is verified and approved by admin
3. Receive session requests from students/institutions
4. Accept or decline based on availability
5. Conduct live video session via the platform
6. Earnings (90% of session fee) credited to wallet after completion
7. Withdraw to bank account or PayPal (minimum $1 / ₹100)

### For Institutions
1. Register as institution with organization details
2. Browse verified international faculty
3. Post faculty requirements (subject, curriculum, budget, student count)
4. Book batch sessions for groups of 30-300 students
5. Manage sessions, billing, and invoices from dashboard

## Payment System
- Wallet-based: Users recharge wallet first, then pay from balance
- Escrow: Session payment held securely until session completes
- Platform fee: 10% (platform keeps 5%, distributes 5% as referral commissions)
- Tutor receives: 90% of session fee
- Referral commission: 5 levels (2.5%, 1%, 0.75%, 0.5%, 0.25%)
